Samuel Bradford
Samuel Bradford is our Green Party General Election candidate for Stockton North. Samuel wants to fight for a fairer and greener future for everyone who lives in our area. In his personal statement, Samuel says “while other parties may take the North East for granted or view places like Stockton as lesser, I believe the Green Party is in a position to properly represent local people”. A Green Party MP in Stockton would bring new ideas, focus on making meaningful change, and put their genuine community interests at the heart of the work they complete.
People often tell us that they have lost faith in current politics. Greens propose solutions which are fair to people, are based on the best available evidence, and will be kind to the planet where we live. The Green Party wants to see improvements in services such as public transport, energy, water and healthcare – and believes these should be in the public’s hands (not privately owned for the purposes of making a profit). Everyone has the right to clean air and a warm home, as well as lifelong access to education, and a government that takes meaningful action on the climate crisis.
Samuel has grown up and works in Stockton-on-Tees. He says “as a young person I hope to be able to engage with an important demographic that is often overlooked in politics. Young people will inevitably face the most consequences of climate change”. The Green Party is gaining momentum throughout the North East where we now have 19 councillors elected. There are Green Party candidates standing to be MP in every single constituency, meaning we all have the opportunity to vote for real hope and real change on July 4th.
