North Northumberland

Jan Rosen

As the Green Party Candidate for the 2024 General Elections for Morpeth I will support the Green Party’s commitment to rejoining the EU and upholding fundamental human rights through continued participation in the European Court for Human Rights. Beyond environmental and human rights concerns, the Green Party’s platform reflects a refreshing embrace of innovation and forward-thinking policies. After enduring 14 years of Conservative government, it is evident that the UK is in dire need of new directions and progressive change.

After school, I studied Geography and Environmental Management at Northumbria University before switching to a business degree.

I moved back to live in the UK in 2022 after living in the Netherlands since 2017. I made a deeply personal and significant decision to join the Green Party in December of 2022. As UK citizens, we experienced directly the ramifications of Brexit during our time abroad, which further solidified my commitment to the Green Party’s values.

I am committed to the Green Party’s policies because they aim to improve our lives and ensure a more sustainable future for future generations. My wife and I are employed full-time and in my professional life I work as a technical instrumentation consultant specialising in automation. I run a small consultancy business for new technology and help small businesses manage their assets remotely in rural areas while my wife is an IT project manager.
